Since we started in this biz, coffee from the region of Guji has been one of our favourites to work with. Ethiopia is idyllic in the coffee world for some many reasons. There is a huge diversity of flora varieties, and coffee plants that seem to be able to thrive in various conditions without the use of pesticides. Much of the coffee grown in this area is known as ‘garden coffee’, which is small lots of plants in farmers backyards! Quality, sustainability and traceability are key values for the production teams on the ground in Guji. Chief boss-lady Meseret Workneh is a certified Q-grader at Primrose Exports, testing each batch to stringent standards before it goes out. This G1 label means it performed exceptionally in the coffee grading process, with no defects, and outstanding taste attributes.
We love this coffee cos: it’s grade 1 baby! This is the really good stuff. From the idyllic holy land of Ethiopia, to our hot little hands in Oz, we get to experience the magic of Guji.
Our Glee family have roasted this coffee to suit both espresso/filter applications.
